Scirocco is a wind. It rises over the Sahara, crosses the Mediterranean, and reaches the southern coasts of Italy, laden with dust, glowing heat, and the fleeting memory of distant horizons. Christian Provenzano grew up with stories about this wind: how within a few hours it could transform the mood of an entire village, how it made the air feel denser, the senses sharper, and everything around it seem more intense.
