The fragrance "Rudis" was created for Nobile in 1942 by no less a nose than the exceptionally talented Antonio Alessandria. It was inspired by Rudis, the wooden sword, and aims to show the values of strength and gentleness, of battle and freedom, of life and death, of masculinity and weakness in their dialectic. The fear of the gladiator on the way to the arena is described with the wine-like pomace notes and the dry fruits, the gladiator tries to drink to gain courage, full of virility he fights his inner fears and clutches the Rudis a little tighter - ready for battle. Antonio Alessandria represents the wooden sword with rose, geranium and cedar wood. The scent of the leather of his armor gives him courage as he enters the arena - his presence takes up space, as do the strong notes of patchouli, vetiver and incense.
