✔ ABOUT NOAH'S ARK
Noah's Ark is a popular investment coin from Armenia. It is also considered legal tender in its country of origin. However, Noah's Ark is not manufactured in Armenia, but in Germany, namely by the company Leipziger Edelmetallverfahren (LEV). Noah's Ark appears every year with a constant motif.
✔ ABOUT THE MOTIF OF THE COIN
The obverse of this silver coin features Noah's Ark, which appears in the Bible. God commissioned Noah to build an ark to protect him, his family and all the animals from a flood.
Since everyone except Noah sinned and disobeyed God's commandments, God wanted to bring Noah and his family to safety. The ark is surrounded by raging waves on this coin motif.
Mount Ararat in Armenia is hinted at in the background. The Bible says that the ark was stranded there when the flood finally passed. A white peace dove with an olive branch in its beak can be seen in the foreground.
✔ THE BACK OF THE COIN
The reverse of the coin is embossed with the coat of arms of Armenia. On the back you will also find the year the coin was minted (2023), the fineness (999) and the face value (100 drams).
