The Noah's Ark 5 oz is a silver coin issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. The bullion coin is made of the purest silver (999/1000) and is legal tender in Armenia. It always has the same motif as the Vienna Philharmonic. The obverse of the coin shows the Armenian coat of arms and the inscription “REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA”. Below this, the face value is given as 1000 drams, as the dram is the official Armenian currency. The fineness indication on the coin is “5 Oz Ag 999”. The year of minting is also shown discreetly below the face value. The reverse of the coin is adorned with a fine depiction of the ark that gives the coin its name. In the background of the ark is Mount Ararat, which is still a symbol of Armenia today and where Noah's journey ended. In the foreground of this motif is the dove with an olive branch in its beak, which, according to the biblical text, heralded the end of the Flood. The English name of the coin and its Armenian translation can also be seen on the reverse of this beautiful silver coin.

Noah's Ark has been issued by the Central Bank of Armenia since 2011. The 5 oz Noah's Ark silver coin was added 1 year later and has been issued since 2012.
