The Austrian Mint was first mentioned in a document as early as 1397. This traditional mint produces a variety of investment and collectible products from precious metals, including commemorative, gift and collector coins. The precious metal manufacturer also produces high-quality gold bars and investment coins.
The “Vienna Philharmonic” gold coin was first introduced in October 1989. Initially, only 1 ounce and 1/4 ounce denominations were available. From 1991 onwards, the range was expanded to include 1/10 ounce denominations, and in 1994 1/2 ounce coins were added. From 2008 onwards, the 1 ounce silver coin of the Vienna Philharmonic was introduced.
